The mission of LIFTT Inc. is to provide resources, services, and educational solutions to youth, families, and community-based organizations to address the equity gap in STEM.

Creating the next generation of Black STEM professionals.
Why Stem?
80% of jobs in the U.S. require mastery in science and math, but students are not equipped with the necessary skills for the workforce.
1.
The Value
Computer programmers, physicists, and engineers are less likely to experience joblessness. For the last 10 years, growth in STEM jobs has been 3 times greater than non-STEM jobs. Individuals who hold STEM degrees enjoy higher salaries, job promotions, and greater job stability.

The Urgency
Students who express an interest in STEM majors and careers before taking the ACT Test achieve higher scores (and meet the college readiness benchmark in all 4 areas--Math, Science, English, and Reading) than non-STEM interested test takers.
3.
Building capacity
LIFTT Inc. seeks to increase its capacity to serve youth throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, and the Peninsula by developing partnerships with businesses and tech companies to offer internships to college students, scholarships for high school seniors, and project-based learning activities to K-12 students.
